Ovals, Spring 2018

A somewhat unassuming title, but describing quite accurately what I have been doing in this new series of work. In most of the pieces I have been experimenting with oval shapes and applying Keum-Boo or oxidisation..

The Kumihimo braids for the two necklaces are thin and, unlike in the previous ones, I tried to focus on texture, experimenting with different thicknesses of thread, rather than pattern. The resulting necklaces are, I think, very beautiful and work even better on the body, when worn.
