Delicate Brooch with Oval Links in Silver and Gold
Inspired by lines and patterns this delicate brooch moves playfully with the body. Like the accompanying necklace and earrings, its minimal, yet sophisticated style makes it an eye-catching piece to wear at special occasions, adding some sparkly elegance.
Each of its components is handmade in my studio: they are shaped, textured, soldered and finished. The 24ct gold stripe on the solid oval components is applied in the Korean technique of Keum-Boo.
Conscious of the environmental impact of the jewellery industry, this piece is made from recycled sterling silver and Single Mine Origin (SMO) 18ct gold, which can be traced back to the Hummingbird Resources Plc's Yanfolila mine in Mali where it was mined in January 2020.
