These ear studs are part of my Stripes collection. This series generally focused on the effect created by stripes, but was inspired by the idea of ‘the space between’.

The pieces in this series are made from recycled sterling silver and recycled gold. (Read here more about the materials and processes involved in making this series.) The 24ct gold foil is attached to the silver through a process called Keum-Boo – an ancient Korean technique of heat-bonding pure gold foil to silver.
