Delicate Olive Branch Brooch in Silver and Gold
Delicate Olive Branch Brooch in Silver and Gold
Recalling the delicate, classical decorations on Roman artefacts, this brooch combines figurative elements whilst being a definitively abstract and modern piece.
Framed as an ancient ceramic shard might be in a museum, the front part of the brooch is held in a blackened silver frame to draw attention to the beauty of the deep, woven texture which contrasts with the delicately detailed leaves of the olive branch.
The brooch can be securely attached by a handmade double-clip clasp on the reverse.
Colour / Finish: satin finish
Material: recycled Sterling silver, fine silver and 24ct gold foil (13 microns thick)
Size: 45 x 40 mm
Weight: 21 g
Techniques: Korean Keum-Boo technique of attaching 24ct gold foil to silver.
Carefully designed and handmade in my Hertfordshire (UK) studio, using traditional methods and eco-friendly processes and materials.
