This necklace is made with Argentium silver. The delicate chain at the back is made with gently twisted wires to echo the spiral silk braid. The process of how I make the Kumihimo silk braids can be watched here.

I used grey for the braid to highlight the changing shape of the braid and its partial helix structure. The small, round Lapis Lazuli beads are between 2.5-3 mm in diameter, adding some subtle blue colour which harmonises beautifully with the deep yellow of the 24ct gold Keum-boo circles on the pendants.
