The one-of-a-kind necklace is part of my Circles and Dots, 2018 collection. It is made from green silk braids and in different patterns of green and grey

The metal parts are made from Argentium silver and are textured. The delicate chain elements are twisted and hardened to form a contrast with the soft silk braids. Two Argentium silver pendants with granulation and round 24ct yellow gold Keum-boo patterns are suspended from the braids.

All parts of this necklace, including the silk braid, are made by myself in my studio. Kumihimo is a labour-intensive ancient Japanese technique for making silk braids. You can read here more about this technique.

The necklace is fastened with a handmade silver hook clasp and all silver parts are hallmarked at the London Assay Office.
